Feeling better today

Today is the first day in a while that I feel better. I guess it was silly of me to think I can start a new fitness programme without having some sort of flare-up. I've still been going to the gym, but have done little more.
Over the weekend I was in fairly good condition and got to do a few things with Wayne. We've been busy every weekend for about a month now and I've missed our alone time.
Saturday, we spent the day just the two of us. We took the the bus into town so that I can learn to use it to get around more on my own. I still don't drive here and it's annoying to have to depend on Wayne to get around every time I want to do something. Although, the bus isn't much better because it takes twice as long to get to and from town center. Saturday night, we went to dinner just the two of us which was really nice. We haven't had a night out alone in ages and we really enjoyed ourselves.
Sunday, we had a pub lunch with Doug. The food was excellent and afterwords we sat at the table and played a really good game of Jenga. I forgot how much fun that game is! It was a good time and I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend (besides the call we got 5:30 in the morning from my tearful and very intoxicated sister who called to tell me she missed me. It was a nice gesture, but hopefully next time - she'll wait until she's sober and make sure it's a normal time of day before calling).
This week, I'm catching up on my web classes and hopefully will be posting the finished home page and finally updating the song of the week which I haven't done in weeks...

Hi dearie :) Just wanted you to know that our daily conversations will be sorely missed!!! At least we have Skype to talk on once we get into our flat and install broadband! Also, am having second thoughts about the Mazda - you are right!!! Heehee... is always good to hear a second opinion - am thinking of going with the less expensive and less used Ford... will let you know. Thinking of you, hi to Wayne from us xx

Top 20 Lists

Recently, a magazine here in the UK issued their list of their Top 100 women in show business. This sparked conversation between Wayne and I and one rainy weekend when we had nothing to do, we compiled our own Top 20 lists. The rules were we had to judge on looks alone (not their physique) and only one token model was allowed. For fun, I thought I'd add our lists here for you to view and enjoy. Maybe it will even spark conversation between you and a friend or loved one. Wayne and I actually had a really good time creating our lists together - judging each other's taste in the opposite sex and laughing over how long it took for us to prioritize our selections. We still change the order every time we look at it! (although our top five have remained the same) Enjoy and feel free to comment!

Fight Club for Five Year Olds - Part 2

The other mother and I went into the school to meet with the teacher and the assistant head.  We both let them know how upset we were that we were not informed that our children were sent to the office and how much we were against the children being allowed to play fighting games on the playground.  I told them I wouldn't allow it at home and I'm really unhappy that it's being allowed at school.  They admitted it was a problem and explained that they are planning to introduce a a scheme to teach the children to play in a safe way.  They will be calling it 'Super Hero Training'.  They plan to give out capes & masks out to children who behave well as rewards at playtime.  They will have assemblies where they will teach the children to play fighting games without making contact.  I find this to be absurd.  The problem has gone on to long and I doubt they will be able to teach little children to change their games when they have sixty other children to look after on

Playing with my new lens...

I got a new camera lens for my birthday last week.  I don't have a lot of time to play with it, but this is one of the first shots I took...
